Try not to VOMIT when you learn Ham's sin! | Genesis 9:18-28

Today on #CrackYourBible, we’re talking about what happened once Noah got off of the ark. After Noah’s flood, he planted a vineyard, he drank too much and went into his wife’s tent to “be fruitful and multiply.” Unfortunately, his son Ham tried to usurp Noah and ended up doing something foul to his own mother. While bragging to his brother about what he had done, his brothers, Shem and Japheth, went to cover Noah until he sobered up.
Stay tuned while we look at just what happened in Noah’s tent when he had too much to drink and how hypoxia and epigenetics can explain the behavior of Noah, Ham and the Canaanites. *From the Bible, we know that:* • Noah became drunk and was nearly usurped by Ham. Genesis 9:18-28 • “Uncovering a man’s nakedness” is a euphemism for cuckolding a man, in this context. Leviticus 18:6-8 • Wine and vineyards are ancient sexual symbols. 1 Samuel 11:11 • Reuben tried to usurp Jacob / Israel by sleeping with Bilhah. Genesis 35:22-26 *Other links mentioned:* • Hypoxia – altitude sickness and alcohol: http://goaskalice.columbia.edu/answer... • Transgenerational Epigenetic Inheritance: http://learn.genetics.utah.edu/conten... • Mice inheriting memories: http://www.nature.com/news/fearful-me... • “Canaan” means “humiliated.” http://biblehub.com/strongs/hebrew/36... • Genesis 9 explained more in depth: http://www.godawa.com/chronicles_of_t...
